FAQ
Some of the (many!) possible outcomes in Climate Vine might include:
- Building trusted relationships with climate-committed peers, potential co-founders, partners, customers, advisors and/or collaborators
- Deepening your understanding of the climate solution landscape and where you fit in
- Informing, elevating and broadening your climate organizing, activism and network
- Publishing thought leadership, research or policy proposals

- Raising investment funds or discovering new investment opportunities, including grants or non-dilutive financing
Members report getting out of our ecosystem as much as they put in. We built Climate Vine to fold into time you’d spend on work and/or side projects. You can choose to engage in weekly expert deep dives, join meet ups, have curated 1-on-1 calls with other Members, and/or participate in Peer Groups.
Your availability will shift over time. There may be weeks when you find yourself spending 5-10 hours a week on Climate Vine and others when you simply check your DMs to make sure you stay on top of them.
Our minimum ask is that you regularly engage with the community platform, and engage and respond actively to curated connections and conversations with other Members!
Climate change is a global issue with solutions needed at every level. As such, we encourage and accept Members from around the world. Given the global nature of this community, managing virtual events can be tricky. The majority of live remote sessions will be in the GMT-5 time zone, but recordings will be available to Members at any time.
Climate Vine is a remote-first community with IRL meetups and programming surrounding larger climate events. This unlocks diversity, beyond geographical diversity, that is not often possible in fully local members’ communities. Climate Vine’s team brings years of experience to this space, having built successful remote-first climate communities since 2020 and worked with other ecosystem builders on the best tools and processes for online collaboration.
The 3 month cohort, leading into an annual Climate Vine Membership is $2,990 (or four installments of $750) for most members and $1,490 for those in academia, policy, and non-profits. When relevant, we help our accepted applicants work with employers to cover some or all of this membership fee. See below for a template email you can share with your company!
We encourage you to apply, regardless of ability to pay. To ensure that’s never a barrier to entry, we accept people before asking about their financial needs through our need-blind process.
*We especially welcome people in or working with emerging markets as well as activists to apply for these scholarships!
Absolutely! After you enroll, you will receive a receipt for your purchase. Simply forward this receipt directly to your employer for reimbursement. If you require assistance in adding custom information, please don't hesitate to contact us at admissions@climatevine.co

Subject: Request for Reimbursement for Climate Vine Membership
Hi [Manager's Name],
I'm excited to share that I’ve been accepted into Climate Vine, a community for climate-committed professionals, and I’d like to request reimbursement for the annual membership tuition as part of my L&D budget.
What’s Included in the Membership:
- Strategic Learning and Problem-Solving: I’ll gain insights and frameworks directly applicable to our projects through Climate Vine’s Peer Groups and interactive Member-Led events.
- Expert Network and Collaboration: Access to a diverse network will enhance our strategies with perspectives from various sectors, and I’ll also receive personalized weekly introductions to relevant peers in climate.
- Flexible Learning: The platform’s virtual discussions allow me to learn without taking time off, and there's no need for travel. I’ll be able to access the breadth of community and knowledge I would from a larger conference, without the need for travel! Weekly expert deep dives will also feature leading voices in climate, with an opportunity to ask questions live and stay ahead of the curve.
- Community and Networking: I’ll grow a trusted network of climate peers across the world, building valuable connections and staying updated on climate innovations.
I strongly believe the Climate Vine Membership will boost my ability to contribute to our company’s climate initiatives [share more here about how this connects to your day to day goals!].
I’m confident this membership will benefit both my professional development and provide our company with access to valuable knowledge and networks.
Thanks for considering my request! Looking forward to your thoughts.
Best,[Your Name]
- Understand Your Company’s Budget: Research your company’s professional development budget. Knowing the policy can strengthen your case.
- Tap into Conference Budgets: Many companies allocate funds for employees to attend conferences. The ROI of Climate Vine compared to a conference is significantly higher due to its structured content, targeted networking, and specific outcomes.
- Show Your Commitment: Have a clear plan for how you will dedicate time to and apply the learnings from Climate Vine to your work.
- Position as an Investment: Present the program as an investment, not an expense. Even a slight improvement in your project's growth as a result of the program can justify the cost.
- Highlight the Leaders: Explore the list of the leaders and experts involved in Climate Vine to emphasize the program’s credibility.
- Understand and highlight the essential skills that your role demands, and include that in your request letter.
We’d be happy to chat with you about what it might look like to bring your team to Climate Vine! Please fill out this form or email us at admissions@climatevine.co.
