Our Values
Give-First Mentality
Everyone here operates under the give-first mentality. When everyone does that, true magic happens.
Go Farther Together
Everything we create assumes that we can go farther when we work together, across disciplines, siloes, and geographies. We face hard problems and navigate them together. We feel comfortable bringing our whole selves to Climate Vine and lead with vulnerability from the top down.
Prioritize connection with ourselves, other people, and the environment around us
- Value human & environmental health, understanding how they intertwine
- Every person with the right intentions, regardless of their background, is instrumental to the climate-positive transition. Let’s welcome them fully.
- Build deeper connections
- Have fewer transactional connections
- Focus on more intentional living, communities, and economies
Optimism, Gratitude, & Hope
We celebrate the small and big wins — taking action is a win in and of itself. We support each other through the hard and good times alike, and we remind each other of how lucky we are to be working in this space. We maintain a stubborn optimism, gratitude and hope for the world ahead.
Work Towards a Just Transition
Climate Vine is committed to a just transition that ensures environmental sustainability as well as decent work, social inclusion and poverty eradication. While that may take generations, we’re committed to the process.
Build Long-Lasting Relationships Based on Trust
We prioritize genuine connections and invest time in getting to know fellow members to appreciate their unique perspectives. This also means we practice humility and curiosity, approaching interactions with an open mind and a willingness to learn from others.
Commit to Multidisciplinary Collaboration
We bring our whole selves to the table to produce better collaborations and more thoughtful outcomes. We believe in the power of bringing together individuals and communities with unique perspectives.
Engage with a generous mentality
We have a give-first ethos. We ask how we can be helpful to the other person during every conversation, and actually mean it. And when we all support each other, we’re supported as well.
